Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
