An American-Palestinian youth having endured a nine-month period in Israeli detention without charge was released.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.

They said he is visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.

Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "overwhelming sense of relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Right now, our priority is getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after being subjected to harsh conditions and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

The state department said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance to the teenager's relatives.

{"American leadership has no higher priority to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," it added.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to US authorities and the administration, demanding more be done to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop from Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him through judicial records.

Mohammed was held absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary in the West Bank.

Additionally housing grown detainees, featuring prisoners sentenced for major terrorist activities including killings.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges and human rights groups, including UN bodies, report instances of abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts seeking justice for their relative their cousin Sayfollah.

The dual national youth per medical officials was beaten to death by settlement residents amid clashes during summer.

During that period, military authorities reported authorities were looking into reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.

The two cousins collaborated at their family's ice cream business in Tampa, Florida.

No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.

"We expect the American government to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
