Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to express about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate issued a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures offered divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making divisive claims that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an associate could have stepped in when the impulse to weigh in on the passing was made.
