Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
